My Summer TBR: Books I Can’t Wait to Read!

Summer reading is officially on and I’m soaking it up like sunshine in a lounge chair! I made a deal with myself: every day during nap time, I trade the dishes and laundry for 30 glorious minutes of quiet and a good book. It’s my little sanity-saving escape, and honestly? It’s been the best part of my day. So if you’re looking to squeeze in some “me time” too, here’s my summer TBR list. Let’s read our way through the chaos together!

Summer

My current summer book that I’m reading is The Housemaid Is Watching. Which is the final book in the Housemaid series by Freida McFadden. I am completely hooked! I’ve loved every twisty, heart-pounding moment of this series, and this last installment is delivering all the suspense and jaw-dropping reveals I hoped for. If you love thrillers that keep you up way past bedtime, you need this series on your shelf. I’m already dreading turning the last page!

Next up on my summer tbr is Story of My Life by Lucy Score! She’s one of my absolute favorite authors, so when I saw she had a new book out, I snatched it up fast. I’ve been patiently saving it for our upcoming road trip to Arizona (because what’s better than a juicy rom-com and hours of open highway?). I can’t wait to dive into it with snacks in hand, AC blasting, and the kids hopefully napping in the back!

Trip Switch by Allison Speka is another book I have been saving for vacation. It’s a romcom vacation romance story that I have been seeing good reviews about all over kindle Facebook groups. This will be my first Allison Speka book. If you like fast-paced books, light on spice and heavy on the banter check her out.

Another one on my list and one I’ve been waiting forever for is My Return to the Walter Boys by Ali Novak. Ever since I devoured My Life with the Walter Boys, I’ve been counting down the days for this sequel. Now that it’s finally here, you better believe it jumped straight to the top of my summer TBR. I can’t wait to dive back into all the drama, heart, and chaos that comes with the Walter boys!

The last book on my summer TBR is The Summer Patch Pancake House from the Dream Harbour Series by Laurie Gilmore. Feels like the perfect way to wrap up my cozy reads. I’ve been saving it for just the right moment, and now that warm mornings and slow afternoons are here, it’s calling my name. What I love most about this series is that each book stands on its own, which means I can jump into the one that fits the season without missing a beat. Plus, I’ve heard that if you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, this series is basically a hug in book form. So of course I’m all in.

Books that I already read this summer:

  • If Tomorrow Never Comes by Allison Ashley ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Housemaid Wedding by Freida McFadden (short story wasn’t a fan)
  • The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Book 1: Virginia River by Robyn Carr ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Blindly Yours by Anna Lenore ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We hope this helps you find your next perfect summer read. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, sneaking in a few pages during nap time, or soaking up the sunshine with a good book in hand. Got a favorite summer read you think everyone should know about? Drop it in the comments! I’m always on the lookout for new recommendations to add to my TBR.
