Meal Plan

Let’s get started with our family meal plan. If you have followed our last couple months you will notice some repeats that have become some of our favorites and the kids have asked for again. Our favorite meals on this month’s plan:

  1. Smoke Sausage Bake- This is a meal that is loved by my whole family. I do make one for the kids with no veggies and one with veggies. This dish is great and easy to make how you like.
  2. Cinnamon Roll Sheet Pan Pancakes- This is a newer recipe for us that has quickly become a favorite. The recipe calls for gluten free pancake mix. I used a regular mix and it turned out great.
  3. Homemade Chicken Nuggets- This another recipe that we have shared on the blog before. I love this cornflake chicken nugget recipe. Plus super easy to make

NEW recipes that we are trying this month:

  • Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese: This recipe was shared with me from a close friend. She says it the best she has made and easy. And I love easy!
  • Sausage and Potato soup: As I was looking at recipes this reminded me of Olive Gardens soup. I’m super excited to try this recipe
  • Cheesy taco tater tot: This looks like a great recipe. However, because my kids are picky I will be keeping the corn and beans out on the side for this recipe.

Have a recipe you love and want to share? Send it to us in the contact page! We love all the suggestions!

Low carb Calendar:

Get ready to embark on a healthy adventure like no other – a full month dedicated to savoring the deliciousness of low carb dinners. If you’ve been seeking a way to revamp your dinner routine while embracing a healthier lifestyle, you’re in for a treat. This month-long journey will not only tantalize your taste buds but also introduce you to the diverse and satisfying realm of low carb cooking.

When a recipe calls for ingredients that are not all that low carb, try substituting those items for healthy low carb options. A few that I have tried are:

Flour Tortillas → Low Carb Flour Tortillas

I like this brand of Low Carb Flour Tortillas

Bread crumbs → Crushed Pork Rinds

White Flour → Almond Flour, Coconut Flour, Crushed Pork Rinds, or Grated Parmesan Cheese.

Incorporating these substitutes not only helps lower the number of carbs but also elevates the nutritional value of your meals.
