Oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid, offers a magical mix of science and sensory fun that can be easily transformed into a Halloween masterpiece. Perfect activity to keep the little one busy so you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee.

My 3-year-old had such a fun time playing with the Halloween oobleck! At first, she wasn’t too sure about it and didn’t seem to like the sticky texture. But after a while, she started to really enjoy squishing it between her fingers and watching it ooze around. She loved how it changed from solid to liquid with just a little movement. It ended up being one of her favorite Halloween activities!

Let’s make your Halloween Oobleck-

What you will need:

• 1 cup water
• 1 gallon ziplock bag
• 2 ¼ cup cornstarch
• 6-8 drops food coloring (Purple or Green will work perfect for this)
• mixing bowl

Steps:

1. Add 6-8 drops of food coloring to water.
2. In a mixing bowl add your cornstarch.
3. Pour your water into cornstarch.
4. Mix well until combined.
5. Let it sit for about 30 minutes before you start to play.
6. Store in the ziplock bag for a couple days.

Time to play with your Halloween Oobleck!

Now is when you get to add your spooky fun items to your oobleck and have fun. We added fake spiders and fake snakes that we found in the halloween section at The Dollar Tree. or you can use anything around the house.
