Christmasland

Christmasland Review from Amazon:

Written by Anne Marie Meyer

A Town Where All Your Christmas Dreams Come True

When Emilia told me she won an all inclusive trip to Christmasland, I laughed. Outloud.

Surely a place like that didn’t exist.

Boy, was I wrong.

Now I’m stuck on holiday repeat where everywhere I turn there’s Christmas carols, sledding, cookie decorating, and holiday cheer. All of which, I’m told, is part of the “experience” of Christmasland. But I can’t believe that. A whole town dedicated to recreating a Christmas movie for all of its guests? You’ve got to be joking.

Now I don’t know what is real and what is fake. I know I have feelings for the grumpy Hero, but I can’t tell if he returns them.

In a place that peddles in fake realities, this is the first experience I wish was real.

I want to believe in a Christmas miracle, but my holiday history has told me, Christmas comes with nothing but disappointment.

I’ve never gotten a happily ever after and I doubt that will change now. (Amazon)

My Christmasland Rating:

5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I LOVED this book. This book was a cozy quick weekend read. Which I loved. It had me laughing out loud in some spots. I was worried about reading this book. Because I didn’t want the hype to let me down and I’m so glad it didn’t. This was a book that I found on tiktok booktok from. Booktok hasn’t let me down yet this is where I find all my must reads lately.

I loved that this was a clean romance Christmas story to kick off my Christmas reading list. I also won’t feel bad if my teen wants to read this one later on. It was a cute small town feeling that you felt like you were right there with the main characters. For a little bit it had me feeling like I was back in the small town we used to live It was well written and I can’t wait to check out more books by Anne-Marie Meyer in the future. I was sad when I was done reading Christmasland but excited to watch the movie on Hallmark that came out the next day (Got lucky with that one).

Which was better: Christmasland book or Believe in Christmas movie?

Both were amazing. Of course I enjoyed the book the best because I read it first. But the movie Believe in Christmas was an adaptation of the book. Still pretty amazing to watch and compare the difference. I have watched it a couple of times. I can’t say this about a lot of books and movies. Usually they butcher the movie but Hallmark did an amazing job with this one.
