Creep it Real with a Halloween Candy Tray

Let’s take your Halloween candy to a whole new level of spook-tacular fun. Have you’ve ever dreamed of a candy wonderland where every bite is a sweet surprise, then you’re in for a treat (pun intended)! Join us on a journey into the deliciously eerie world of our Halloween candy tray.  It’s not your average candy stash; it’s a whimsical, ghoulish, and mouthwatering creation that’s perfect for delighting your taste buds and impressing your kids (and husbands too). So, let’s grab everyone’s favorite candy for a fun Halloween treat that truly is unforgettable.

This Halloween candy tray is so easy and fun to make! You can use it for a fun after-school snack, family movie nights, or even an upcoming Halloween party. I surprised my kids with this as an after-school treat after a long week at school. We all needed a pick-me-up and this snack tray was just what we needed. If you’re thinking of making a  Halloween candy tray for a movie night but are not sure what Halloween family movie to watch, check out our post yesterday for some great suggestions that you can stream this weekend.

Are you ready for the easiest board you will ever create? Pick out what you want and decorate how you want it. I grabbed everything for our Halloween candy tray at the Dollar Store. I’m a momma on a budget and fun doesn’t have to be expensive.

Here is what I picked for our Halloween snack tray-

  • Popcorn
  • Cotton Candy
  • Lolli Pops
  • Candy Jewelry
  • Candy Blood Bites
  • Eyeball gumballs
  • Gummy worms

I know that looks like a lot of candy but I wanted to feel up the cookie sheet I was using. Don’t worry,  I didn’t lose my mind and let them eat the whole thing. It was perfect! They each got to pick out what they wanted and we also had some neighbor friends over to help pick at it too. I was also able to stash some away for another fun family night I have planned.

All you have to do is spread everything around and have fun with it. Make it fun and spooky. If you have older kids, you can add some plastic spiders to your board for an extra spooky touch. Here is a look at how our Halloween candy tray turned out. Want to see a behind-the-scenes look at how I made it check out our Facebook page for a quick video of the process.

If you don’t want to use a cookie sheet for your Halloween candy tray you can use a plate and cover it with foil. Anything will honestly work and the kids will be shocked that you made this for them. My kids were shocked that I made a tray with mostly candy before dinner.

We hope you enjoy making a tray like this for your family. For some more fun Halloween theme food check out our Pinterest Halloween board for more ideas.

What is your favorite candy that you will be adding to your Halloween candy tray?
