I have seen this challenge floating all around Facebook in so many different Kindle groups. And with the snow storm out east right now and snow coming our way tonight I thought what a perfect time to share this. I personally set a goal to read 50 books in 2025 and thought this was a great way to get half of that goal done. This ABC challenge was created as a fun reading challenge that you can find in our reading journal that we launched on our Etsy shop last Summer. If you would like to see more info on that check it out here.

Tips on using your ABC reading challenge-

There are so many different ways that you can use this reading challenge. Here are some ways:

  • You can fill in your board with books that start that letter or author that starts with that letter. When I was filling out mine I went by book title. As you can see I have some letters to fill in. Have any recommendations leave them in the comments!
  • Do you have a large book collection that you haven’t read yet? This is true for myself. I like to keep buying books on my kindle that get buried and I forget about them. I decided that 2025 was the year that I would read more of those books so I scrolled and made my list from the books I already had on my kindle.
  • Maybe you’re looking for a fun way to get your kids to read more books this year. Have them pick out books and add them to the board. As they read the books they picked out they get to check them off. We will make a list for my 9 year old this weekend.

How I created my board

I started by getting my list together. After that I googled each book and downloaded their book cover. After I had the covers I went into canva and added them. I found having a frame in the spots helpful to size them perfectly.

Here is a canva link. Make sure to make a copy. You will see this template has a frame on it that you can duplicate and then delete when you’re done.
