DIY Christmas Gift Ideas for Grandparents

The holiday season is a magical time, especially for families. As Christmas approaches, the excitement of gift-giving fills the air, and there’s something truly special about a present made with love by the hands of a grandchild. DIY Christmas gifts are not only thoughtful and unique but also a wonderful way to create lasting memories between grandparents and their grandkids.

In this blog, we’ll explore Some fun, easy, and heartfelt DIY gift ideas that will bring joy to any grandparent’s heart. We will share two of our favorite ideas we have found plus share more that we have found on Pinterest. My family has so many sets of Grandparents that I need to think of ideas early on in the year.

Desk Photo Calendar Gift-

Gift

I love this idea! I bet I have some family reading this blog right now thinking wait but Aunt Lynne makes calendars for the family. Yes but this is a quick glance calendar it will be hard to write on. I have my calendar sitting on my desk right now just to see dates.

It was simple to add your photo to. Send it off to your favorite printing shop to have it printed. I used the Walgreens app and was able to get them printed in an hour. If you have a Walgreens near you, definitely check out their photo center.

I created my template in Canva. You can make a new design or here is the template that I made to be printed on a 5×7.

What you will need:

  • Shadow frame

You will just be using the frame part not the glass or the kickstand so the wider the frame the better

  • Binder Rings

The size of your ring will depend on how thick your frame is. I went to the size 1.25. I was lucky to find mine at the Dollar Tree but they can also be found at walmart

  • Photos

Super simple to put together-

Once you get your photos printed you will punch two holes in your photos. Place them on the binder rings and then clip your photos onto the frame. Simple but heartfelt gifts that grandparents will love.

Fingerprint Of love for Grandparents-

We usually don’t love the fingerprints that little ones leave but these are ones to be treasured for years to come. All you need to do is print off the file below and have your kids fill in the heart with their sweet fingerprints. We used a watercolor paint set from The Dollar Tree. Add your finished project to a cute frame and you have the cutest gift.

We hope these projects help you get a head start in your gift giving ideas for this Christmas. We have more ideas coming your way so keep an eye out for those!
