Let’s get ready to experience the magic of Christmas at Gaylord ICE!
As the holiday season blankets the world in a shimmering tapestry of lights and joy, there’s one extraordinary experience that stands out among the winter wonderland: the Gaylord ICE spectacle. Nestled within the heart of festive celebrations, Gaylord ICE transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, inviting visitors into a dazzling realm of frozen enchantment that captures the spirit of Christmas like no other.
In this blog, we embark on our journey through the breathtaking landscape of Gaylord Rockies ICE, where winter magic comes to life in the most spectacular fashion. Join us as we unwrap the layers of this chilly extravaganza, discovering the artistry, craftsmanship, and sheer wonder that make this experience an annual tradition for families and holiday enthusiasts alike.
This past weekend we did a family day and visited the Gaylord Rockies ICE in Denver, Colorado where the theme was A Christmas Story. This was my first time coming to Gaylord ICE! I was amazed at the work of each and every piece that was there. I learned that it took two million pounds of colorful ice being sculpted to make the story come to life.
So many pieces to show but here are a few of the family favorites!
The fun continues after walking through the Ice sculptures. The Gaylord goes above to make the magic of Christmas come alive. Along with the ticket you can buy extra activities. We did the scavenger hunt and elf training. Which was the perfect amount for the kids.
The elf training is where you paint a toy to go home with you. You can choose to paint your toy there or take it home. We took ours home with us. Which worked out perfectly because the next day we had a snowy day and the kids enjoyed painting them at home.
Next we did our scavenger hunt. Get ready for some more walking. You will differently get your steps in with this activity. It was a lot of fun…once we figured out what we were looking for. Once we figured that out it went quicker. The kids really enjoyed it. If you’re thinking of doing this heads up you’re looking for big cardboard pictures with letters or pictures on them. The kids really enjoyed the scavenger hunt. At the end you even get a little fun gift.
Between the toy to paint and the small gift the kids were super happy!
Some other activities that you can do that we didn’t are:
I did notice that each Location has different activities so these are just what was available at the Denver location.
If you are looking for an experience gift to give this Holiday and are local to a Gaylord Resort I would recommend this for sure! I requested experience gifts for my kids this year. This day trip was a gift from Grandma and Grandpa. Which all the kids enjoyed! Even my teenager loved this gift! That’s a win in my book!
Most experiences go through January 1st but check out the links for dates!
If your local to the Denver area I have found some discount codes that I wanted to share with you. For other locations go to your local Gaylord website and check out offers on the bottom for your codes to enjoy.
We hope you enjoyed the inside look into our journey at Gaylord Rockies ICE!
If you have been to one of the ICE experiences let us know what was your favorite theme!
