Now that your sensory box is ready, let’s add a festive fall twist with colorful leaf activities your kids will love!
To make your sensory play even more engaging, we’ve created some fun printables that pair perfectly with the corn base from your last sensory box. With these activities, your kids can explore while learning in playful ways. Below, you’ll find a Fall Seek and Find, a Fill in the Letter F activity, and a Counting Leaves game each designed to add an educational twist to your fall sensory fun.

For this Fall Seek & Find activity, you’ll first want to gather a few supplies like fake (or real) acorns and small gem pumpkins. Next, hide them throughout your corn kernel base, making the hunt both fun and challenging. Then, draw a card from the printable stack and search for the number it shows, turning playtime into an easy way to practice counting and early math skills. In addition, little ones will strengthen their fine motor skills as they carefully pick up each acorn or pumpkin. Finally, don’t forget to grab and print your card set below so you can get started right away!

Next up on our list of new activities is the Letter F sheet, a fun way to mix learning with hands-on play. To begin, grab your tweezers and a handful of popcorn kernels. Then, carefully pick up each kernel and place it along the outline, tracing the shape of the letter F. As you continue, keep going until the entire letter is filled in with kernels. Not only does this make letter recognition more engaging, but it also helps little ones build up the finger strength they’ll need for writing.

Our final new fall activity is Counting Leaves, and it’s a simple yet fun way to practice numbers. To start, each leaf has a number written on it, and that’s how many popcorn kernels your little one will place on top. As a result, it’s the perfect activity for practicing counting skills up to 10. Furthermore, if you’d like to extend the activity for older kids, just slip the page into a plastic protector or laminate it. Then, grab a dry erase marker to turn the leaves into easy addition or subtraction problems for even more learning opportunities.
