Irresistible taste of Chocolate Chip Cookies:

The perfect chocolate chip cookies to make this Christmas season!

Loving the aroma of warm, freshly baked cookies wafts through the air, tempting even the strongest willpower. Today, we embark on a delectable journey into the heart of one of the most beloved and timeless treats—chocolate chip cookies. We couldn’t do 12 days of cookies without sharing one of our favorite chocolate chip cookies! Just the mention of these sweet morsels is enough to conjure memories of childhood bliss and cozy moments spent with loved ones.

Are you a chocolate chip fan?

In our house we are half and half. We have team chocolate chip cookies and team chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips. Yep you read that right. My husband and daughter love just the cookies without the chocolate chips. So when I make the dough before I fold in chocolate chips I pull some dough out so I can make them some cookies. I do have to say they are pretty good that way too.

Tips for making the best chocolate chip cookies:

Chocolate chip cookies
  • Quality Ingredients:
    • Use high-quality ingredients, including real butter, pure vanilla extract, and good-quality chocolate chips. The better the ingredients, the better the flavor.
  • Proper Mixing Technique:
    • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This step helps incorporate air into the dough, resulting in a softer texture.
  • Measuring Flour:
    • Measure your flour accurately. Too much flour can make the cookies dry and crumbly. Use the spoon-and-level method to avoid overpacking the flour.
  • Chill the Dough:
    • Chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking. This helps solidify the fats in the dough, preventing the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Watch the Oven:
    • Keep a close eye on your cookies while baking. They can go from golden to overdone very quickly. Aim for slightly under-baked cookies if you prefer a softer texture.
  • Cooling Time:
    • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. This helps them set without overcooking.

  • ½ tsp baking soda
