Christmas Spritz Cookies
Christmas spritz cookies are incredibly light and buttery in flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp almond extract
- 2 ½ cups flour
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Food Coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cream the butter, powdered sugar, and salt with a mixer until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg, vanilla and almond extract
- Gradually mix in flour.
- Optional- Spilt the dough into small amounts and add drops of food coloring to make them more festive.
- Add the dough into a cookie press and press the dough onto the cookie sheets, approximately an inch apart from each other.
- Optional- Add Sprinkles to the cookies before baking
- Bake for 6-8 minutes, watching to make sure the cookies do not brown.
